Paper begins as a blank canvas much like us. Paper ages, and bears the marks we leave on it. Paper, like us, has a memory that is indelible, what you put on the page, stays on the page. The first papermaking process was documented in China during the Han dynasty. Today, the paper is a big part of our history and everyday life. Paper is sensitive yet adaptable. Paper has many different uses and can be changed into things that are completely different from its original making.

BLANK features most of the paper artworks created by Middle School and High School students, completed over the course of September. All students worked very hard to try to give each artwork a personal & unique personality. We had more than one papercut, more than one failed artwork, but in the end, we emerged with a complete Paper Art Exhibition.

As Sonia and Nicole once said:

-Welcome, and float into the paper abyss with us!
